For Kempf, art represents freedom from invisible conventions, guidelines, and rules that often define society. During this period, she tragically lost her older brother, an artist who was also her teacher and mentor. From an early age, he nurtured her spatial imagination, imparting his knowledge of drawing, painting, and sculpture.

Nature, particularly landscapes and their seasonal transformations, serves as her primary inspiration. She is especially captivated by vividly colored flowers with unique shapes. Upon confronting a blank canvas, she first envisions colors, which gradually take form and bring the painting to life. Her techniques evolve with the artwork, employing brushes, spatulas, and sponges, as well as unconventional tools like spoons, wooden sticks, and scrubbing brushes to achieve the desired texture. While acrylics are her main medium, she occasionally experiments with watercolors.

Dahyun kim

Dahyun Kim values the process of harmonizing texture, touch, and oil paint through abstract painting. To her, a flat surface is both classic and alluring. The moment the canvas embraces the oil paint with a tight sense of tension, an unimaginable world unfolds. The encounter of physical forces and materials begins a narrative akin to a tug-of-war between fate and adventure. Her work is not merely the application of paint; it is both the scream of a dancer on a canvas and the clamor for silence. Her emotions and rational senses create an imaginative journey that defies capture.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Kim developed a deep love for film at an early age. She majored in literary creation and philosophy at university, completing a master’s degree in film theory and film history. Her exploration of the convergence of art, film, and fine art led her to focus on abstract painting seven years ago. Barbara

Marcinkowska

Many years ago, she felt an urge for artistic creation. She experimented with a lot of different mediums until she found herself in painting. From the very beginning, however, she felt that what she was looking for was utterly "her" art—without imposed techniques and forms, full of freedom, beyond defined styles. She dared to fully show the world her expression. She paints what she sees and feels, not what is.

Images come to her spontaneously. She stands in front of the canvas, picks up a brush, chooses the paint, and lets herself be inspired. Her greatest source of inspiration is through her travel and the nature she visits. Nature combines colors in an amazing way. Larissa-Katharina Frei

A path of art: painting and drawing, capturing the surroundings as well as the physicality, reproducing these in various techniques, remodeling the observed. The joy of the form and reproduction of surroundings, modelling physicality anew in colour and finding expression. A path in the sense of art means acquiring skills. Zamira Mtanous

I am a visual artist interested in exploring the conceptual possibilities of textiles in combination with materials such as wood and natural pigments. I have also developed my own color palettes. The central theme of my work revolves around the concept of ephemeral permanence, reflecting my connection with and understanding of fibers and materials.

My primary motivation comes from recognizing qualities such as naturalness, uniqueness, transparency, and syntheticity in the materials I use, which enrich the sense of ephemeral permanence expressed in my pieces.

The soul, therefore, becomes a source of creative inspiration. I find in it a beautiful mixture of opposites—change, duration, vulnerability, brevity, and fragility.

YAHIRO TAKETORI

The concept of their work is 'the vitality of contour lines on a flat surface.' There is a physical separation between the space on the other side of the plane and the space of the real world in which we live. However, the contours that reside on the other side of the wall possess a strong vitality, each existing in a unique way.

It appears that each of these contour clumps is intentionally confronting the phenomena that unfold on the other side of the wall with fear, joy, and amazement.

They aim to capture the essence of living by immortalizing each moment, recording it as a testament to life forms that reveal to humans the brilliance of existence.

Rachida Addou

In essence, passion stems from embracing our true self. My art is not for everyone; it is a reflection of my authentic self. It has been described as raw, bold, or even “…toxic, but I love it…” I dare to dive deep into my emotions, especially the darkest and most uncomfortable ones. As I transfer these emotions onto my canvas through the use of heavy textures, raw materials, and vibrant colors, I feel a great sense of relief—a sense of being whole. Painting allows me to escape to a place where I reconnect with my deepest truth, a place where possibilities are infinite, where freedom has no boundaries, and where one dares to simply be, unapologetically.
